WWE has entered into the Cody Rhodes era with The American Nightmare dethroning the most dominant champion of the modern era, Roman Reigns, defying the odds stacked against him by The Rock and rising above as the new Undisputed WWE champion at WrestleMania 40 Sunday.
The journey of Cody Rhodes’ story culminated after years of hard work and perseverance. However, in an old encounter with The Final Boss, Rhodes made a blood prediction that came true over the weekend at WrestleMania 40.
As many would remember, The Rock came back to the company and became the WWE champion in 2013 after defeating CM Punk. Shortly after in a memorable segment, he retired the spinner version of the title and unveiled a new look of the WWE title belt.
It was during that segment that Cody Rhodes, who was a mid-card attraction back then, interrupted The Rock, much like The Final Boss did on the RAW after WrestleMania 40, and proclaimed that a decade removed from that point, the WWE championship would not be synonymous with The Rock but with Cody Rhodes. The Prodigal Son predicted the future accurately and a decade later, he transformed the WWE into his kingdom built with blood, sweat, tears, and triumphing after failures to go from being Undesirable to Undeniable.
