While WrestleMania 40 Saturday was a total blast to watch for the WWE Universe, the fireworks for Sunday kicked off with a massive World Heavyweight Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. While both men had a lot to prove to each other, their foe, CM Punk, was present ringside as the guest commentator of the match.

Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins in the first match of WrestleMania 40 Sunday to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. However, his obsession to send a message to CM Punk turned out to end his reign in about 5 minutes when Damian Priest cashed in his MITB contract.

Though the Scottish Warrior couldn’t hold on to the title for long, he managed to make history with his victory against Seth Rollins. McIntyre joined an elite list of stars who have become a new world champion at the Grandest Stage of them All with two different titles. Drew McIntyre now stands alongside The Undertaker, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Seth Rollins in the list of stars to do so.

McIntyre’s immediate loss at WrestleMania 40 might be because of his heat against CM Punk lately. Though plans for the Scottish Warrior haven’t been revealed yet, a feud with the Best in the World will surely be in talks once the latter returns from injury. Ringside News will keep you updated with this story.
