Chelsea Green Furious After Losing to Drew McIntyre at 2024 Slammy Awards

Chelsea Green has been back in WWE since her return at the Royal Rumble last year, and she has achieved significant milestones over the past year. Fans felt she was a shoo-in for a huge award at the Slammy Awards but Drew McIntyre took it instead and now Green made it clear she is furious about that fact.

Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Green faced an unexpected and real predicament where she was wrongly judged to be an escort ahead of RAW before WrestleMania 40. This happened at the Plaza Hotel in Brooklyn where she had a match at the Barclays Center. 

Drew McIntyre was awarded the 2024 Slammy for Social Star of the Year, a win that sparked controversy when Chelsea Green claimed she was robbed of the honor. Green, prepared to accept the award, began her acceptance speech, only for McIntyre to be announced as the winner.

McIntyre emphasized “escort” as Green accused the Plaza Hotel in New York of having her kicked out because they thought she was an escort. Chelsea Green took to Twitter and made it clear she was furious at Drew McIntyre for winning the award she felt was rightfully hers.

We will have to wait and see what’s next in store for Chelsea Green, as fans feel she deserves a singles title run somewhere down the line thanks to her excellent character work.
