The Rock came to the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2024 ceremony to etch the name of another member of his family into the elite class of legends and trailblazers. However, he took a moment to acknowledge his ongoing issues with The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.
The Final Boss was announced to be inducting his grandmother, Lia Maivia into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2024. After appearing earlier in the night to accept the new People’s Championship title from Muhammad Ali’s wife, The Rock once again emerged for the honor and lineage of his family.
The Rock began with massive praise for his grandmother who paved the way for various athletes and put up some of the best wrestling shows around the world, particularly in Hawaii. Continuing his speech, The Rock also mentioned countless legends and name-dropped his rival’s father’s name, Dusty Rhodes who he cited as one of his heroes.
That moment led to The Great One turning his attention to Cody Rhodes sitting ringside along with his wife, Brandi Rhodes. The Rock stated that he had a deep admiration for his family, but the ongoing tensions between himself, Cody, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins were not business, it was personal which he plans to settle tomorrow at WrestleMania 40 Night 1.
Adding insult to injury, The Rock also stated that his mother, Ata Johnson, also in attendance wanted to lay the SmackDown on Cody Rhodes, only for The Final Boss to stop her and assure to do it for her at The Show of Shows.
The anticipation runs wild as WWE gears up to produce the Biggest WrestleMania of all time, Saturday and Sunday at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
