Rey Mysterio Shares Idea for Final Match Before Retirement

Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, and his influence in the industry is undeniable. He is almost 50 now and it won’t be long until he retires and now Mysterio has revealed the idea for his retirement match.

The Master of The 619 has been at odds with his son Dominik Mysterio ever since the latter turned heel back at Clash at The Castle 2022. The two would then duke it out at WrestleMania 39, where Rey Mysterio won.

While speaking to Sportskeeda, Rey Mysterio talked about eventually retiring from the squared circle. Rey Mysterio revealed that he wants his retirement match to be against Dominik Mysterio in a hair vs mask match.

“That is a very good question, and [a] very hard one as well,” Rey Mysterio said. “I don’t think I have an opponent in mind, but if I had to put all my marbles on the line, I wouldn’t mind betting my mask against something big, something worth me winning for the very last time. I don’t know who that is. I mean, would Dom put his hair on the line? Mask versus hair? Why not? Yeah, that might be a great option.”

In the meantime, Rey Mysterio and Andrade will do battle with Dominik Mysterio and Santos Escobar at WrestleMania 40, so we will have to wait and see who will triumph in the end.
