While WWE presented the go-home episode of Friday Night Smackdown and the 2024 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Tony Khan presented ROH Supercard of Honor with a stacked up match card and a lot of action expected. Multiple title matches were featured at the show, and the excitement for the ROH World Championship match was out of the park.
During the main event of the show, Mark Briscoe challenged Eddie Kingston for the ROH World Championship. In one of the most brutal and intriguing matches in the history of the promotion, Mark Briscoe shocked the world with one of the biggest wins of his illustrious career.
While Briscoe picked up a massive victory, he garnered a lot of attention of the fans during his entrance when he came out to ‘Gimme Back My Bullets’ by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Dax Harwood took to X recently to reveal how he and Tony Khan landed up on using the Briscoes’ theme song at the show. The FTR star stated that Khan called it one of the best investments of his life.
“Tony and I worked together on getting this song for Mark. It was so important for Tony to have this song on such a special night for Pugh family. Maybe I shouldn’t share this, but Tony’s exact words to me were… “This is the best $_____ I’ve ever spent.” That’s the kind of boss we work for.“
While ROH Supercard of Honor turned out to be a massive show, millions around the world have been questioning the decision to feature the show during the Superbowl season of the wrestling industry.
