WrestleMania 40 Match Change Announced on 4/5 WWE SmackDown

With WrestleMania 40 looming just 24 hours away, the anticipation within the WWE Universe is palpable, and tonight’s edition of SmackDown only added to the excitement with a last-minute surprise change.

Before the female members of LWO and Legado Del Fantasma, Zelina Vega, and Electra Lopez respectively, faced off in a highly anticipated one-on-one encounter, Vega and LWO leader Rey Mysterio found his WrestleMania 40 tag team partner, Dragon Lee attacked backstage with Carlito trying to assist him.

Regardless, Mysterio and Vega went ahead for her match being in absolute shock. Adding to their troubles was the presence of unexpected allies of Legado Del Fantasma, Dirty Dominik Mysterio, and Andrade El Idolo, who had been a potential recruit for Dom’s group, Judgment Day, in recent weeks.

Following Zelina’s defeat at the hands of Electra Lopez, Rey Mysterio rushed to check on Zelina, only to be blindsided by an attack from Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio.

Just when it seemed like Andrade was about to join in the assault, he stunned the WWE Universe by immediately switching sides, turning on both Dom and Escobar. In a backstage segment, the former WWE NXT Champion was announced to replace Dragon Lee as Rey Mysterio’s partner to square off against Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 40.
