Despite her standout debut at the Royal Rumble, WWE had yet to fully capitalize on Jade Cargill’s potential, but that finally changed after SmackDown last week. Cargill is definitely a force of nature and she has now been compared to Goldberg in a big way.
Jade Cargill was booked as one of the most dominant competitors in all of AEW, as she had an undefeated streak for a very long time until her eventual departure from the company last year.
While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about Jade Cargill’s current status in pro wrestling and noted that her rise in the business is quite similar to that of Goldberg in WCW, who had a meteoric rise as a professional wrestler.
“Jade Cargill, I don’t know if they are doing a documentary or she is documenting her career, starting in AEW and spending a couple of years there and not really doing much after the first six months. But to get that big break, she is kind of like Bill Goldberg in a way. She hasn’t been around that long. I mean, yes, she showed up in AEW back in 2021, 2022, whenever it was.”
The Storm of WWE is set to make her WrestleMania debut this week as she teams up with Bianca Belair and Naomi to collide against Damage CTRL. Nonetheless, only time will tell if Jade Cargill will end up becoming a huge star like Goldberg somewhere down the line.
