Cody Rhodes has emerged as one of WWE’s most beloved figures, fueled by his determination to culminate his journey at WrestleMania 40. Ahead of the event, Rhodes has now claimed that he will run for Office just to anger The Rock.
During an interview on Trevor Noah’s What Now podcast last year, the former WWE Champion disclosed that several political parties have approached him about potential run for the office of President of the United States. It was also reported that a whopping 46% of voters would eagerly cast their ballots for Dwayne Johnson to become POTUS.
While speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Pat McAfee mentioned to Cody Rhodes how many consider Rhodes a politician. Cody Rhodes made it clear that he would run for Office just to anger The Rock.
”Am I a politician? Cause that’s what was said about me? Guess who was on Fox News this morning talking politics? Dwayne ”The Rock” Johnson. If Rock wants to run for Office, just to piss him off, maybe I’ll run for Office too.”
In a high-stakes showdown on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40, Rhodes and his partner Seth Rollins will square off against The Rock and Roman Reigns. Should The Samoan duo prevail, the subsequent main event title match between Reigns and Rhodes would be governed by Bloodline Rules, intensifying the significance of the bout. It remains to be seen who will prevail in the end.
