Brandi Rhodes Faced Her Fears With AEW Before Surprising Exit

While 2022 was filled with unexpected announcements, none among the wrestling universe saw Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes leaving AEW. The former Executive Vice President of AEW, Cody, and the Chief Brand Office of the company, Brandi, broke the news in February 2022 leaving the wrestling world shocked. 

However, little did anyone expect, leaving AEW was a blessing in disguise for them. Since then, Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE and is currently one of the biggest names in the entire industry. On the other hand, Brandi has earned the time to stay with her kids and explore new opportunities, while keeping herself involved in her husband’s work. 

Speaking to Progres News, Brandi Rhodes addressed her departure from AEW claiming that the company was going in the direction she always feared. While AEW’s downfall still persists among one of the most successful times for a wrestling promotion, Brandi said that it all started before her eyes. 

“What I feared with that company, I was seeing before my eyes. When you start to see things drift from the original vision and … I’ve seen this happen before, then you start to (think) this may not be what we thought it was.”

While AEW has signed one of the biggest stars and legends of the industry in the past few months, they haven’t been able to attract a lot of fans. Cody and Brandi don’t seem to be interested in going back to the promotion anytime in the near future. Ringside News will keep you updated on this story.
