Goldberg rose to fame as one of the most dominant and intimidating figures in professional wrestling history, leaving an indelible mark during his historic run in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Goldberg achieved considerable fame and success during the 1990s, particularly for his undefeated streak of 173-0.

Goldberg last competed in 2022 facing off against Roman Reigns at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE, where he suffered a loss. Recently, during an appearance on the Drinkin’ Bros. podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer talked about his potential return to wrestling.

While discussing his return to ring, Goldberg emphasized the enduring nature of professional wrestling, stating, “You never retire until you’re dead.” Despite being approached about a return to the ring multiple times, he declined the opportunity, prioritizing his commitment to family life over the past four years.

“When you’re a professional wrestler by trade, you never retire until you’re dead. I’ve been asked a couple times, but it’s hard to break me away. I’ve been hanging on the sidelines for four years with my son. My wife and I moved here for the sole reason of watching our son grow up in an unbelievable surrounding and it’s been fabulous.

Living out that script for the last four years, me not having to go back and forth to Hollywood and do anything and be able to set our time aside because he plays baseball, he plays football, so we’ve just been parents for four years and it’s just been the best part of my life. It’s awesome.”

While he currently remains free agent after his last WWE contract expired, it is yet to be seen if the former World champion will return to the ring, either to WWE or any other promotion in the future. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more!
