CM Punk’s entrance into AEW created considerable excitement, suggesting a promising new chapter in his career. However, it all crashed and burned before long and this led to CM Punk having a lot of things to say about his time there on the MMA Hour. In light of his interview, Eddie Kingston has now addressed what Punk had to say.

In a groundbreaking interview with Ariel Helwani, CM Punk delved into his WWE return, departure from AEW, and a range of other topics. The interview delved deep into a lot of recent controversies and offered valuable insights into his professional journey.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Eddie Kingston was asked about CM Punk’s recent comments about AEW, especially about Punk stating that talent work just one day a week and that AEW is not a business.

Eddie Kingston’s response to CM Punk’s comments was straightforward. He emphasized that since Punk doesn’t work for their organization, he couldn’t care less about what he says. Kingston clarified that he wasn’t even angry, it’s just his way of speaking. He reiterated that he genuinely doesn’t care about the situation, despite others potentially being bothered by it. Kingston explained that his indifference stems from the fact that Punk isn’t affiliated with AEW.

Kingston suggested that if Punk were part of AEW and made similar comments, he might briefly feel a certain way, but ultimately, he would just accept it as part of Punk’s character. Kingston concluded by stating that he can’t control Punk’s actions, and they are two different individuals, so he doesn’t concern himself with what Punk does.

”He don’t work for us, I don’t give a f*** here. He is honestly, he don’t work for us so I don’t care, that’s it. I’m not even mad. If it sounds like I’m mad this just the way I talk but no I don’t care I don’t. I know other people do but I really don’t give a f*** because he doesn’t work for AEW, that’s the way I look at it if he worked for AEW and did that then I might feel a certain way for a little bit and then I would just let it go and go well that’s Phil being Phil. Can’t control him that’s his thing, he ain’t me and I ain’t him so I don’t care what he does.”

We have also reported WWE and AEW’s reactions to CM Punk’s explosive interview. Nevertheless, Eddie Kingston might not be the only AEW star who will address CM Punk’s remarks, so we’ll have to see who’s next.
