As WrestleMania 40 draws near, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes is on the verge of potentially realizing his long-awaited destiny, despite enduring brutal assaults in recent weeks. With the anticipation building for the biggest night of his career, Rhodes made a huge statement, should he fail in his quest to rise above the odds.

During a recent appearance on the First Take, Cody Rhodes revealed that if he fails to finish his story at WrestleMania 40, he would probably be done with his career inside the squared circle as it would mean letting down millions of fans who have been rooting for him for an entire year.

Moreover, The American Nightmare also stated that he would consider a career move in those circumstances, possibly transitioning into the role of a WWE commentator.

“If I don’t finish the story, then I might aswell move over to commentary at that point — if I lost again…feel like you lose their faith.”

The final episode of Monday Night RAW before WrestleMania 40 took a dark turn for Rhodes and Rollins. They found themselves on the receiving end of a vicious beatdown at the hands of The Final Boss, The Rock, and his cousin Roman Reigns, leaving a tense atmosphere hanging over their impending showdown at the event.

However, with the support of the fans and the ‘We Want Cody’ movement ready to invade the Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and 7, the chances of Cody Rhodes finishing the story are brighter than ever, with WWE possibly ushering into a new era with Rhodes as the face of the company.
