The recent unexpected releases of multiple superstars from the AEW roster have sparked intrigue and speculation within the wrestling community. Tony Khan’s decision to part ways with these talents has left fans and industry insiders questioning the motives behind the surprising move, as the rationale behind the releases remains shrouded in mystery. A released AEW star has now expressed his gratitude to Tony Khan.
The first to get released was Stu Grayson, followed swiftly by AEW ring announcer Dasha Kuret. In total, approximately 10 stars have been released from AEW thus far. Alongside Grayson and Kuret, Parker Boudreaux, Slim J, Gravity, Anthony Henry, Jora Johl, Jose The Assistant, and the Boys have also been added to the list of departures from the company.
Gravity took to Twitter and wrote a lengthy message following his shocking AEW release, making it clear he was grateful to Tony Khan for giving him the opportunity to work in the company.
“I just can said thank you @aew and thank you Mr. @tonyrkhan for this time in the company!
I am grateful for the moments I was able to experience being within the company and for all the learning I took away! It’s time to continue my path and see what destiny has for me!“
Another released AEW star pointed out the irony in his release. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Gravity, as his in-ring skills will be greatly beneficial to any company.
