Ronda Rousey caused a stir in the wrestling community when she left WWE following her SummerSlam match against Shayna Baszler the previous year, opting for a hiatus from the professional wrestling scene. However, she has since captured attention by sharing surprising insights about her time in WWE. Now, Rousey is shifting her focus to other endeavors, including the upcoming release of a comic book.
In her upcoming book “Our Fight,” Ronda Rousey delves into her WWE experiences, providing candid insights into her tenure with the company. Notably, she directs strong language towards Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis, expressing her frustrations by telling them to go ‘f*** themselves.’ Ronda Rousey even alleged that WWE discriminated against women.
On April 2nd, 2024, Ronda Rousey’s book titled ‘Our Fight’ officially hits the shelves. As part of her promotional tour to generate buzz for the book release, one of her stops was ABC News.
During her appearance on the platform, Rousey revealed that she’s interning at William Morris Endeavor’s Story Department. Additionally, she disclosed that she will be releasing a comic book in the near future.
In discussing her future endeavors, Rousey shared insights from her book, mentioning her interest in creative writing. She explained that she co-wrote the book with her sister and has delved further into creative writing, even trying her hand at screenplays. Rousey mentioned her mother’s influence, who has been writing fantasy novels as a hobby for years. This inspired Rousey to explore her own creativity through writing.
”Oh God, oh, we get into it in the book a little bit (about what’s next for me) because I wrote this and the first one with my sister. I’ve gotten more into creative writing and stuff like that so, I started writing screenplays just for fun. My mom would write fantasy novels as a hobby when — since forever and would give them to us to read and it was such a fascinating insight into her and you’d read that like, ‘Oh my God, this is so mom’ and so, I’ve started writing a lot creatively. I’m an intern at the W.M.E. Story Department and I read and write coverages of scripts and things and my first comic book is coming out soon and it’s just stuff that I really enjoy and I’m a big nerd for and it’s not something to impress anybody but, the act in itself is so rewarding for me so I do it.”
Ronda Rousey has also retired from professional wrestling for good, but has been labeled a bitter woman for her anti-WWE remarks. Nevertheless, Rousey has other things to look forward to in life, and that’s what matters.
