CM Punk encountered a setback due to a triceps injury stemming from an unfortunate incident at the Royal Rumble. Nevertheless, his resolute determination to make a comeback led him to embark on an intensive rehabilitation program. Recently, Punk disclosed the initial plans outlined for him at WrestleMania 40 before his injury sidelined him.
As a result of his injury, CM Punk will be unable to participate in WWE WrestleMania 40 as a competitor. However, he will contribute to the event by providing commentary for the World Heavyweight Championship match featuring Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, CM Punk confirmed that he was supposed to main event WrestleMania 40 Night One with Seth Rollins before the injury.
“The plan I think was going to be me and Seth (Rollins). I believe so (on it main eventing Night 1), but again, I came in and said ‘I’m not asking questions. You’re the boss.”
With WrestleMania 40 on the horizon, Punk’s involvement promises significant excitement and anticipation, as he gears up for what is undoubtedly a pivotal role at the event.
