Ricky Starks has been part of AEW since 2020 and consistently puts on sold matches when required. However, he suffered an injury scare on Collision this week and has now confirmed his health status after the incident.
During this week’s episode of AEW Collision, The Absolute One seemed to suffer an injury during the tag team title tournament match, where he and Big Bill faced off against Top Flight.
There was a moment in the match when Starks appeared unsteady and couldn’t break free from a simple roll-up by Darius Martin. Shortly after, he took a DDT, leading to the match ending abruptly, with Starks unable to recover in time to kick out.
After the match, medical personnel quickly attended to Ricky Starks in the ring to ensure his well-being. Ricky later reassured fans through an Instagram story that he was doing fine and that the precautionary checkup confirmed everything was okay.
“I’m all good, everything checked out fine. Was being precautious.”
Starks’ trajectory in AEW remains uncertain following his exit from the tag team title tournament. Nonetheless, it’s a relief to hear that he’s alright and will have the opportunity to continue competing another day.
