WrestleMania 40 is just around the corner and there are a lot of matches confirmed for the Premium Live Event. However, it appears a major title match is not being planned for the show.
Currently, WrestleMania 40 is poised to feature a lineup of prestigious championship matches, including the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, Women’s Championship, Women’s World Championship, Intercontinental Championship, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, and the United States Championship, all up for grabs.
Asuka and Kairi Sane’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship is notably absent from the WrestleMania 40 lineup. Although Iyo Sky will be defending the WWE Women’s Championship against former Damage CTRL leader Bayley, there are currently no plans for the Kabuki Warriors to defend their tag team title there.
According to Dave Meltzer’s report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is currently no women’s tag team title match scheduled for WrestleMania 40. However, there are plans involving Damage CTRL, although specific details regarding this involvement remain undisclosed at this time.
”There is right now no women’s tag team title match planned, but there is something with Damage Ctrl”
Ringside News has also exclusively reported that the lineups for WrestleMania Saturday and Sunday have already been internally locked in. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see how Damage CTRL’s storyline will culminate at the Show of Shows during Bayley and Iyo Sky’s title match.
