Jack Perry surprised fans with his appearance at the Battle in the Valley event last month, sparking excitement among AEW enthusiasts and building anticipation for his upcoming wrestling debut with NJPW on March 6th. Now that his tour has concluded, Perry has made a surprising statement, claiming that he no longer feels the need for AEW.

His Battle in The Valley appearance marked Perry’s first wrestling appearance since the AEW All In London event, where he was involved in a backstage altercation with CM Punk. This altercation resulted in Perry’s suspension and subsequently contributed to Punk’s departure from AEW.

Reports indicated that AEW CEO Tony Khan was displeased with Perry’s involvement in the incident. However, in a recent interview, Khan clarified that Perry would return to AEW, suggesting that any past issues had been resolved or were being addressed internally.

While speaking to NJPW in a recent interview, Jack Perry made a bold statement, declaring that he no longer feels reliant on AEW, despite some individuals within the company showing loyalty to him. He emphasized his decision to tear up his contract as a symbol of breaking away from the constraints imposed by the organization.

“Ripping that contract was a declaration ‘I’m not playing by your rules anymore’. If (AEW) are too afraid to have me anymore, if the spectre of Jack Perry is too much, they don’t want to deal with the conversations, the ramifications that brings, then that’s fine. I don’t need them. I will go by myself across the world, all by myself, without any of my friends, without any of the things I’m used to, anything that’s been my life for the last 5 years, and I’ll do it on my own, make my own way. Loyalty is a two way street, and I show loyalty to those who are loyal to me. As of now, certain parties have been very good to me, and I intend to repay that.”

Jack Perry was also denied his AEW release. In fact, CM Punk’s WWE return also scrapped plans for Jack Perry. Only time will tell whether Jack Perry will ever make his way back to AEW.
