WWE produced one of the most unprecedented and exciting editions on Monday Night RAW this week that was capped off with fast-paced action, surprise appearances, a chaotic main event, and one of the most heinous endings seen in a long time.
This week’s edition of Monday Night RAW began with Cody Rhodes’ address to the WWE Universe, which was interrupted by the shocking and unannounced appearance of The Final Boss, The Rock who left Rhodes rattled with a whisper that was decoded at a later time.
Another major highlight saw the return of CM Punk, months after his last RAW appearance with his WrestleMania 40 role being crystal clear, following an altercation with Drew McIntyre and his WrestleMania opponent, Seth Rollins.
Moreover, the red brand saw some of the most exhilarating matches with the main event between Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura ending in chaos with The Bloodline, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins brawling all over the All-State arena. However, the most talked about scenario from RAW was The Rock launching a hellacious assault on Cody and leaving in a puddle of his own blood, beaten and battered outside the venue.
According to Fightful, the internal reaction among WWE officials after seeing the reception for the show has been positive with the higher-ups being happy with the turnout of Monday Night RAW.
“As one would expect, we were told that WWE officials were very happy with WWE Raw this past week.”
With a great edition of the show behind them, it would be interesting to see if they can match that with the go-home show of RAW for WrestleMania 40 next week at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
