Santana and Ortiz made their debut in AEW back in 2019 and almost instantly became one of the mainstays of AEW’s tag team division. Unfortunately, the two are no longer on good terms whatsoever. They eventually split up and never got back together again and now Mike Santana has revealed if he still has heat with Ortiz.
Santana and Ortiz made their shocking return last year and aligned themselves with the Blackpool Combat Club for the Stadium Stampede match at the AEW All In pay-per-view. Even then, the two were still not on good terms and that was the last time they teamed together as well.
While speaking in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Mike Santana was asked about his relationship with Ortiz. Santana was specifically asked if he has heat with Ortiz. Santana made it clear he has no beef with Ortiz and even wished him all the best after their match on AEW Rampage last year.
“I wouldn’t say [he has heat with Ortiz]. I mean, for me, I don’t hold any. I told him after the match, I was like, ‘Yo, I hope the best for you. I hope you do well.’ And there’s no hard feelings. I hold no hate, no grudge, nothing like that. Again, I’m in a different place in my life in general, and I’m good.”
As for Santana, he confirmed he had discussions with WWE following their split. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Mike Santana, as the world is truly his oyster at the moment.
