Despite dealing with an unfortunate triceps injury, CM Punk made his resurgence back to WWE as the road to WrestleMania 40 went straight through his hometown of Chicago, Illinois for tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW.

The Second City Saint addressed the events since being on the sidelines. Most prominently, he put the focus on his ongoing beef with Drew Mcintyre, while also inserting himself into his World Championship match against Seth Rollins on WrestleMania Night 2 as the special guest commentator.

Following his appearance, WWE cameras caught up with The Best in the World for an exclusive interview with WWE backstage correspondent Cathy Kelly. She began by mentioning the CM Punk chants that erupted during The Rock’s surprise appearance and confrontation with his arch-enemy, Cody Rhodes at the start of the show.

Acknowledging that he was glad about The Final Boss’ return, CM Punk made it clear that he would cross paths with all the people he wants, subtly hinting at a future program with The Rock.

Switching gears, Punk spoke about his involvement in WrestleMania 40. He clearly mentioned that he would do more justice to his role as a guest commentator than being the special guest referee for the title match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40 due to his dislike for both men.

The former WWE champion ended the segment with Punk joking about the fact that he had to do everything in his daily life nowadays with his left arm, due to his injured triceps being in a brace before claiming high praises for Chicago to end the interview and potentially now focusing on his role at The Grandest Stage of them all in two weeks in Philidelphia.
