Roman Reigns has always been outspoken, and recently, he didn’t mince words when addressing his detractors. Following his return as a heel in 2020, Reigns witnessed a notable shift in fan reactions, transitioning from being booed as a babyface to being cheered as a villain. He also addressed the topic of retirement from pro wrestling.
Roman Reigns has maintained his reign as the WWE Universal Champion for over three years, and he is slated to defend the title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Many anticipate this match to conclude Cody’s storyline and potentially dethrone the Tribal Chief.
As Roman transitions to a part-time schedule in WWE, fans have started to ponder what WWE would be like without the presence of the Tribal Chief. However, it appears that we won’t have to worry about that scenario for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Roman Reigns shared his perspective on his future in WWE, expressing that he doesn’t envision himself stopping anytime soon. He emphasized that, at 38 years old, he feels like he’s just scratching the surface of his potential in the industry. Reigns highlighted his ongoing experimentation and growth, indicating that there’s still so much more he wants to achieve.
Reigns expressed confidence in his ability to continue making history in WWE, citing upcoming WrestleMania main events and record-setting title reigns as examples. He conveyed a sense of determination to keep pushing boundaries and setting new milestones, suggesting that his journey in WWE is far from over.
“Yeah, I’m just scratching the surface. I’m still experimenting and figuring stuff out. I’m 38 years young. I’m a young man and have so much stuff to do. If we were able to do this in four years, imagine what we can conquer in another decade. The work has been put in. The skin still looks good. I don’t see it stopping anytime.”
“We’re about to set more records WrestleMania weekend with the main events. We’re chasing landmarks and different history marks with the title reign. There is so much history left to make. I don’t see it ever ending.”
Recently on Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns confronted Cody Rhodes, seemingly double-crossing him after their agreement to meet alone. This encounter escalated tensions between the two, highlighting Reigns’ unwavering focus on his own path, irrespective of any criticism from his detractors.
