Roman Reigns has created a strong impact on the wrestling world, with his impressive Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign, which recently crossed the 1300-day mark and is regarded as one of the greatest title runs of all time.

The Tribal Chief won the WWE Universal title at WWE Payback 2020, in a triple threat match against Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt. Since then, he has marched forward, destroying all the competition and keeping the championship firmly in his grasp as the top prize on the Island of Relevancy.

During a recent appearance on The PatMcAfee Show, Reigns gave his response on if he also eyed smashing the record of most World title wins in WWE, currently held by The Greatest of All Time, John Cena with 16 title reigns who also hinted at breaking his own record in recent memory.

The Head of the Table, however, clearly stated that his mindset was all about quality over quantity. While he had a lot of praise for Cena’s achievement, Roman mentioned that none of his 16 World title reigns matched up to his run, which became the longest title reign of the modern era and 4th longest overall.

“I don’t take anything away from anybody. What John has done, as far as generations come, that is GOAT-level stuff, but for me, it’s always been about quality, not quantity. John has a lot of title reigns, but he doesn’t have a title reign that can compare what I’ve done in the last four years. This quality that I’ve put on display, it speaks for itself. The business backs everything that has happened. It’s made this place more lucrative than it’s ever been, it’s made this place attractive. My reign has gone through the most crazy and turbulent time in WWE history. That says a lot. I will always take the quality of this run over going 14, 15, 16 times.”

However, Roman Reigns’ time as the dominant champion could come to an end at the hands of the People’s choice, Cody Rhodes with both set to collide against each other for the World Championship at WrestleMania 40 Night 2.

Both men recently had an intense confrontation on SmackDown where Rhodes foiled Roman’s plan to weaken him ahead of their epic encounter in two weeks. With WrestleMania inching close, we will have to wait and see if the Island of Relevancy stays intact or gets crumbled to pieces for Cody Rhodes’ kingdom to rise.
