The Good Brothers, comprising Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, have made a huge impact after making their way to NXT. They failed to win on SmackDown after a lot of controversy, and now they have decided to shift their focus to NXT.
Gallows and Anderson secured a spot in the Number One Contender’s Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship by defeating Hank Walker and Tank Ledger on the March 19 episode of NXT.
As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory secured victory over The OC’s Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Gallows seemed to injure his leg during the match, which factored into the finish. Waller intervened to break up a Magic Killer, allowing Theory to roll up Gallows with his feet on the ropes for the win.
While speaking in a backstage interview following their shocking loss, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made it clear that they will now be focusing their attention towards NXT as berated Theory and Waller for cheating to win.
Karl Anderson: ‘‘Listen, Byron, listen, WrestleMania, been there, done that. We always want a WrestleMania moment, but right now the focus goes to NXT.”
Luke Gallows: ”We are middle of a reset, we are in the middle of a reset, we got cheated tonight, we advanced at NXT, we’re going to continue to advance. Just like I said there, there’s a renewed vigor in the good brother’s eyes.
We are still, as we always have been, the greatest Tag Team in the world, we’ve won gold on every continent we’ve ever been to. And those NXT black and gold Tag Team titles are coming to our ways.”
Karl Anderson: ”We’re gonna get ourselves to Stand and Deliver [INAUDIBLE] gonna walk out there, we’re gonna put our gimmicks up high, we’re gonna bring them down. And The O.C. shows you why we’re the NXT Tag Team Champions.”
We will have to wait and see whether The Good Brothers will be able to win the NXT Tag Team Championships as they are clearly red hot right now in NXT, following their shocking loss on SmackDown.
