TNA Wrestling is gearing up for what they hope will be a memorable year, despite the departure controversy surrounding Scott D’Amore. However, recent developments have stirred fan interest, as it has become evident TNA is changing their way of acquiring talent and adopting a new method.
Following their departure from WWE, James Drake and Zack Gibson, renowned as the Grizzled Young Veterans, have dedicated the past few months to refining their skills on the independent wrestling circuit. Additionally, they’ve been making notable appearances in TNA Wrestling, showcasing their talent and further establishing their presence in the industry.
While speaking on the Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about The Grizzled Young Veterans’ contractual status in TNA Wrestling. It was reported that they are not being offered full-on exclusive contracts.
“No they are not under an exclusive contract and based on what I heard in TNA, they might not be offering a lot of full-on, exclusive contracts.”
It is to be noted that this means they are being paid per appearance, similar to what happens in the independent circuit. We will have to wait and see whether TNA Wrestling will eventually change their method of acquiring talent eventually.
