Cody Rhodes Gives Away His Shoes After SmackDown Goes Off The Air

Cody Rhodes has ascended to the top of the WWE food chain for his exceptional work ethic, popularity among the fans, and his special connection with the WWE Universe that he puts on display every chance he gets.

It was no different following the end of tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown. However, before a little leisure time with the fans, Rhodes had an intense one-on-one confrontation with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

After their segment ended in a verbal back-and-forth, The Tribal Chief signaled his Bloodline members, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa to march down to the ring to assault Cody, who already had backup in place in the form of Seth Rollins and Jey Uso and foiled Reigns’ plans for the evening.

After SmackDown went off the air, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso remained inside the ring to address the audience while everybody else left ringside. Following a brief interaction, Cody revealed an interesting giveaway of shoes. While he informed that Jey Uso would not be able to give his pair to the audience as WWE had planned his appearances moving forward, The American Nightmare offered his own to the loudest fans in attendance.

After hearing the roar of the crowd, Cody stepped on the turnbuckle to give one of his shoes to a young fan while Jey Uso tossed another one into the crowd to a fan to catch it and sent the fans home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin happy.

As the road to WrestleMania 40 approaches its final destination, Cody Rhodes seems laser-focused on the task at hand as he is set to team up with Seth Rollins to battle Roman Reigns and The Rock on Night 1 with huge stakes involved for his main event title bout against Reigns on Night 2.
