Bret Hart is a WWE Hall of Famer, and his in-ring skills earned him all the fame and recognition a pro wrestler would ever want. However, he truly changed after what transpired during The Montreal Screwjob. Interestingly enough, he has been accused of being unsafe in the ring.
Bret Hart is a wrestler who has stirred controversy with his views, which haven’t always been received positively. While some might presume that Bret harbors resentment over certain aspects of his wrestling career, he has clarified that he merely articulates his opinions and acknowledges that not everyone will agree with him.
Former WWE star Tom Stone, who worked in WWE from 1987 to 1995, has worked in over a hundred matches during his time in the company. While speaking on the Cheap Heat Productions podcast, Stone talked about Bret Hart injuring him in a match, accusing him of being unsafe in the ring.
“Bret was an ass, in my opinion. Bret talks about not hurting people. Bullsh*t. He piledrove me and almost broke my neck. He portrays himself like this guy who was real careful. I don’t think he was.”
The incident took place after Bret Hart’s match against Tom Stone on the October 14th, 1989 edition of WWE Superstars. Nevertheless, it is likely no one will pay heed to what Tom Stone had to say in the end.
