Since his return to WWE, Nick Aldis has managed to garner a lot of attention with his unique way of managing the roster. One of the major storylines of the blue brand involved the Santos Escober-Rey Mysterio saga. The feud started when the former attacked his role model and injured him, forming a new version of Legado Del Fantasma.
The newly formed faction has clearly been a thorn for LWO. However, things turned around when Rey Mysterio made his return to the blue brand. Last week on Smackdown, both men came face to face when a singles match between Mysterio and Escobar was made official for the 3/22 episode of Smackdown.
Though fans expected the match to take place at WrestleMania, WWE decided to go with it on Smackdown itself. In a recent post on X, Nick Aldis added an interesting stipulation to the singles match. The Smackdown general manager announced that LWO and Legado Del Fantasma will be barred from ringside while the match between both men took place.
“I believe that the situation between Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar must be settled one-on-one. So the LWO and Legado Del Fantasma are barred from ringside tomorrow night on #SmackDown.”
With no interferences involved, WWE might end the feud between Mysterio and Escobar once and for all. However, with WrestleMania on the horizon, WWE extending the feud for a few weeks won’t be a surprise. Ringside News will keep you posted with the story.
