Following the match, it was reported that MJF would be taking some time off to recover from his injuries. Intriguingly, MJF was also removed from the official AEW roster after the start of 2024.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by Dave Meltzer, MJF is maintaining an extremely secretive stance regarding his current situation following a significant shoulder injury.
MJF also withdrew from a fan convention earlier this month. The Salt of The Earth is also contemplating shoulder surgery while he remains absent from AEW television. MJF also kept himself busy with new film protect during his hiatus. We will have to wait and see what will become of MJF in the end.
