Jack Perry’s surprise appearance at last month’s Battle in the Valley event brought joy to AEW fans, and excitement heightened for his in-ring debut with NJPW on March 6th. After a successful win over Shota Umino, Perry won more matches before losing to SANADA. Now that his tour has ended, Perry vows to dominate NJPW.
NJPW New Japan Cup 2024 proved to be a significant tour for Jack Perry, marking his debut with the company. He had an eventful trip, including joining House of Torture and securing victories over Shota Umino and Toru Yano. Despite a loss to SANADA, Perry concluded the tour on a high note with a win alongside Ren Narita and Yujiro Takahashi, defeating Shota Umino, El Desperado, and Yuji Nagata.
In case you didn’t know, Shota Umino challenged Jack Perry to a match at Ryugoku Hall and even mocked him with a CM Punk catchphrase. In his post-match comments, Perry reflected on his inaugural tour in New Japan and eagerly looked ahead to the future and accepted Umino’s challenge as well.
“First tour of Japan complete. I arrived here after six months off, and on day one, I defeated your new ace. Now I understand he has some sort of new challenge for me? Well, whatever it is, I accept it. Bring whomever you want because it won’t change a thing. I will continue to speak my mind, act as I please, and dominate New Japan. If that upsets anybody or if anyone is angry about my actions, they can stay mad. Because I couldn’t care less.”
As the wrestling world eagerly awaits the outcome of this rivalry, it remains uncertain whether Shota Umino will emerge victorious against Jack Perry in the end.
