Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams’ once-strong NXT friendship took a dark turn at Vengeance Day when Hayes betrayed Williams. The fallout caused chaos on NXT, as he also outsmarted Williams on the show this week. He has now broken his silence on the matter.
After an altercation between Meta-four faction members and Trick last week, which included a kiss between Lash Legend and Williams, he was scheduled to face Meta-four’s Noam Dar this week on NXT, marking Williams’ first match since NXT Vengeance Day.
After his win, Trick promptly called out Carmelo Hayes, only to be ambushed by Melo’s henchmen, including Carmelo in disguise, who delivered a sneak attack, leaving Williams unconscious and ending the show.
Following the conclusion of this week’s episode of NXT, Carmelo Hayes took to Twitter and uploaded a couple of photos of himself alongside his henchmen, as he bragged about playing chess while Trick Williams was playing checkers.
“It’s chess not checkers. Checkmate MF 🖕🏾”
We will have to wait and how WWE will continue to book Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams’ feud in the coming weeks, as we approach the NXT Stand & Deliver Premium Live Event.
