AEW Rampage Results (3/20/2024):

The show opens up with Excalibur, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and Tony Schiavone welcoming the fans as “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland continues to celebrate his TNT Championship win over Christian Cage.

We then get a video of Bullet Club Gold discussing how they betrayed and turn their back on The Acclaimed and “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. Bullet Club Gold also mocks Darby Allin for injuring his foot ahead of his Mount Everest climb.

Renee Paquette then introduces The Acclaimed and they make their way out.

Max Caster starts off by addressing Bullet Club Gold’s comments, then reveals that Daddy Ass was not cleared for travel after White attacked him last week. Caster then asks Toronto what they think about White and they boo Switchblade. Caster then says White feels the same way as he didn’t bother to show up, then Caster offers White a first class ticket to anywhere in the world as long as it’s not AEW. Caster also says White would be smart to take that offer, but he is not and he proved that when he angered him and Anthony Bowens.

Bowens then echoes Caster’s sentiment and says The Gunns know somewhere deep down that they are not Elite enough. Bowens then says Colten and Austin Gunn weren’t good enough to be in a video for the AEW World Tag Team Championship, then says White should have signed with another promotion. Bowens then reminds White that he lost both the Continental Classic and his AEW World Championship match against MJF, then tells him that he needs to stop blaming everyone but himself for his shortcomings. Bowens then says he and Caster are counting down the days until they beat him, then says he and Caster never needed White because everyone loves The Acclaimed.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the show, which is AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card Match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Wild Card Match: Best Friends (“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta) vs. Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs)

The match starts off with Hobbs hitting Cassidy with a spinebuster and almost getting the pinfall. Hobbs then sends Beretta into the barricade on the floor. Cassidy then tries a dive to the floor, but Hobbs catches him and smashes him against the ring apron several times. Beretta then tries to get back in the match and takes both his opponents out with a dive onto the floor. Beretta then hits a chop to Hobbs in the corner and nails Fletcher with a German suplex. Beretta then goes for a spinning DDT, but Fletcher blocks it and Hobbs and Fletcher takes Beretta out with a pendulum bomb.

Beretta then hits Fletcher with a spinning DDT, sends Hobbs to the floor and tags Cassidy. in Cassidy then takes Fletcher out with a crossbody, then follows that up with a spinning DDT for a near fall. Cassidy then hits Hobbs with a superkick, but Hobbs knocks him down with a forearm. Hobbs then rocks Cassidy and after a couple of forearms from Hobbs, Cassidy was able to break free and hits a sunset flip on Hobbs for a near fall. Hobbs then knocks Cassidy down with a body block.

Fletcher then hits Beretta with a half-and-half suplex. Cassidy then hits Fletcher with the Stundog Millionaire, then Hobbs runs through both Cassidy and Beretta. Hobbs then throws Cassidy into the LED boards. Cassidy then hits Hobbs with a Beach Break on the floor. Fletcher then hits a spinning tombstone on Cassidy for a near fall. Fletcher then sets Cassidy up for a superplex, but Beretta makes the save and hist a half-and-half suplex on Fletcher off the top rope. Cassidy then hits Fletcher with a diving DDT. Beretta then takes Hobbs out with a spear on the floor and Cassidy hit the Orange Punch on Fletcher for the win.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Katsuyori Shibata vs. Kevin Matthews

The match starts off with Shibata hitting Matthews with forearms and a dropkick in the corner. Matthews then responds with a clothesline. Shibata then escapes a fireman’s carry from Matthews and puts him in a sleeper hold. Shibata then hits Matthews with the PK for the win.

We then head to the back, where we see “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland continue his TNT Championship win celebration with some champagne and several other talents.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita vs. Rocky Romero

The match starts off with Romero nailing Takeshita with a hard slap, then hitting him with a step-up rana. Takeshita then hits Romero with a sit-out death valley driver followed by a dropkick. Romeo then counters an avalanche back suplex with a sliced break off the top rope. Romero then delivers a couple of dives on Takeshita on the floor, but on the third one Takeshita catches him and goes for a suplex, but Romero escapes. Takeshita then goes for a forearm, but Romeo ducks out of the way and Takeshita hits the post.

Romero then hits the sliced break on Takeshita for a near fall. Romero then snaps Takeshita’s arm and hits him with a cross-arm breaker. Don Callis then jumps up on the ring apron to distract Romero. Romero then goes for the sliced bread again, but Takeshita counters and hits Romero with the package tombstone and a spinning blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Romero then tries to comeback, but Takeshita knocks him down with a clothesline. Takeshita then hits Romero with a forearm, then follows that up with the spinning falcon arrow for the win.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Street Fight!

Street Fight: Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale vs. House Of Black’s TBS Champion Julia Hart and Skye Blue

The match starts off with Hart getting wedged in the chair. Statlander then hits Hart with a backbreaker while she was in the chair and Nightingale hits a sliding boot on Hart. Nightingale then retrieves a table from under the ring that Statlander set up in the corner. Hart then finds a spike, but when she goes to use it on Statlander, Statlander ducks and Hart spikes Blue instead. Statlander and Hart then crashes into a table.

Nightingale then slams Blue on the floor. Nightingale then tries to set up Blue for a powerbomb on the commentary table, but Blue reverses it into a Code Blue on the table. Blue then dumps a bag of thumbtacks in the ring. Statlander then pulls out her own bag of thumbtacks and dumps them in the ring as well. Blue then hits a powerbomb on Statlander out of the corner and into the thumbtacks for a near fall. Blue then put the thumbtacks into Statlander’s mouth and hits her with a superkick for another near fall. Blue then tries to go to the top rope, but Nightingale grabs her and puts her through a couple of tables with a death valley driver.

Hart then goes for a piledriver on Statlander, but Statlander hits a backdrop on Hart into a pile of chairs. Statlander then goes for a 450, but Hart gets out of the way and puts Statlander in her Hartless submission for the win.

After the match, Hart and Blue celebrates and stands tall as Excalibur runs down the card for next week and the show comes to a close.
