The Undertaker will forever be regarded as a legend in the world of professional wrestling. However, The Deadman never got to square off against Sting and now it appears he believes the match wouldn’t have lived up to expectations anyway.

For over twenty years, pro wrestling fans have always wanted The Undertaker and Sting to square off against each other inside the ring. When Sting made his debut in WWE back in 2014, fans were hopeful that they would finally get to see the dream match happen. However, that never happened and it will forever remain one of wrestling’s biggest ‘what if’ moments as Sting retired at AEW Revolution this month.

While speaking on the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker talked about his match with Sting that never happened. The Deadman admitted that the match would have not lived up to fan expectations anyway.

The (Sting) match would’ve been good, but it would not have lived up to the expectations. People were thinking Undertaker 2007/08 vs Sting, I can say when he got there, I was way on the backside”

The Undertaker even claimed that he would have considered an in-ring return had Sting more retired. Nevertheless, the match will never happen and fans have simply accepted that fact.
