Sammy Guevara has been a familiar face on AEW television since his debut in 2019. However, he has encountered controversy due to incidents resulting in injuries to his opponents, including a recent one involving Jeff Hardy. As a result, Guevara has been suspended from AEW. In response to his suspension, Guevara has released a statement addressing his fans.
As mentioned earlier, Sammy Guevara is currently serving a suspension due to his role in a match against Jeff Hardy on February 14th. During this contest, Jeff Hardy sustained an injury, and it seems that proper concussion protocol was not followed. Additionally, Guevara performed his finishing move on Hardy, a maneuver that should not have been executed.
At the end of Sammy Guevara’s latest vlog, a heartfelt message appears on the screen, as he admitted that he made mistakes and is now learning to roll with the punches at the age of 30 as he thanked his fans for all the love and support.
“To the people who support me, whether it be at the beginning or in the beginning it in the middle or maybe this is your first video you’ve watched of mine, I just want to say thank you. I understand that I am a person who has made mistakes but I am also a person who has tried to be better.
‘Roll with the punches’ is a saying that I truly understand now at 30 years old. Life will throw a lot at you. But it’s how you deal with those adversities that make you who you are. I know who I am and I know what I’m going after. See you at the top.”
AEW also scrapped major plans for Sammy Guevara after his suspension. However, it is still uncertain when Guevara will make his return to AEW television and if AEW has any plans for him upon his return.
