The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes was in no mood for fun and games during last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW, as he screeched his heated foe, The Rock right from head to toe following his remarks on SmackDown.
The Rock returned to Memphis, Tennessee for SmackDown last week and revived one of his highly enthralling segments ‘Rock Concert’ to fire derogatory remarks towards Cody and his entire family, stating that it would all end in a highly embarrassing defeat for the Prodigal Son at WrestleMania 40.
Cody Rhodes came to RAW last night to address the man who recently proclaimed himself as The Final Boss and responded back with some callback lines he had delivered during his rivalry against fellow WWE Legend and current AEW star, Chris Jericho in 2019.
The 2024 Royal Rumble winner borrowed the same references he used during his fiery promo address toward the Ucho on an episode of AEW Dynamite in 2019. Rhodes labeled The Rock as a “carny succubus,” and stated that both individuals perceive themselves as more significant than the present pool of talent and believe they are indispensable, while younger wrestlers don’t necessarily require the guidance of the older generation as much as the older generation believes they do.
Amidst the verbal back-and-forth, all directions on the road to WrestleMania will culminate at the Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and 7 where The Rock and Roman Reigns will battle against the duo of Cody Rhodes and his trusted ally, Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 Night 1 in a high-stakes implication bout for Night 2, where Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Cody in the main event.
