WWE is known to be the landscape of some of the most remarkable in-ring competitors across the globe. While the main roster is flooded with top-caliber stars, their developmental brand builds up promising talent to ascend to the next level and one of them is looking to be NXT’s rising star, Karmen Petrovic.
In November 2022, Petrovic marked her inaugural appearance in WWE’s NXT under the guise of Monika Klisara. Transitioning into 2023, her formal debut occurred in July at NXT Level Up, adopting the persona of Karmen Petrovic in a match that concluded with Ivy Nile emerging victorious.
Notably, on the October 17th episode of NXT, Petrovic secured her maiden televised singles triumph by participating in the 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, where she decisively eliminated Jaida Parker in the opening round.
However, Petrovic exited the competition following her elimination in the semi-final round, which was orchestrated by Lola Vice.
Moreover, Karmen Petrovic recently took to her Instagram to reignite her old roots and demonstrate her prowess in the field of karate alongside being a professional wrestler.
“your hands can’t hit what your eyes can’t see 🌪️💥 back to my roots.. who wanna kick it with me?🥋🗡️.”
For the unversed, Karmen has been a Karate champion and has won many accolades in that field namely in the Fonseca Cup competition, the Ontario Provincial competition, and the Ontario Summer Olympic Games. With a strong background in combat sports, it will be interesting to see what she brings to the table as Karmen Petrovic continues to level up in NXT.
