Darby Alli is known for his daredevil persona and thrilling stunts and was set to embark on the remarkable journey of climbing Mount Everest this year.
This decision wasn’t just a display of his on-screen character but resonates deeply with his true self. Allin’s fearless attitude towards life’s challenges is evident in his choice to tackle one of the world’s most dangerous mountains, fully aware of the risks involved, including the possibility of facing mortal danger.
However, it seems like those plans have been derailed due to an unfortunate injury. According to a report by TMZ.com, Allin has broken three bones in his foot.
During the AEW Big Business show this week, Darby Allin got hurt less than two minutes into his match against “Switchblade” Jay White. In a daring move, Allin attempted a front flip off the top rope, but unfortunately, the landing didn’t go as planned, resulting in an awkward collision with the floor that caused injury.
Despite clearly being in discomfort, Allin exhibited remarkable resilience by continuing the match. He briefly tended to his injured foot but proceeded to wrestle against White for an additional 10 minutes, showcasing his trademark high-flying maneuvers and determination to carry on.
Despite his valiant efforts, Allin was ultimately pinned by White after succumbing to a Blade Runner move and was later on attacked by his teammates of the Bullet Club Gold faction. Allin himself took to his X to shed light on the situation.
“Unfortunately the foots really broke from Wednesdays match. Everest will have to be next year 💪🏽.”
With the former TNT champion’s plans pushed forward to next year due to injury, we will have to wait and see when Darby gets healthy enough to consider the monumental climb he planned for some time now.
