Gunther Doesn’t Think Sami Zayn Has What It Takes to Be in His Position

Gunther has a target on his back as he is the Intercontinental Champion, but he welcomes the challenge. The ending to the gauntlet match on RAW this week saw Zayn win the bout, but Gunther doesn’t think Zayn has what it takes to be in his position.

In this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, a gauntlet match took place to determine the next #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. The participants included Ricochet, JD McDonagh, Sami Zayn, Bronson Reed, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Chad Gable.

Ultimately, Sami Zayn emerged victorious, securing his spot to face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. This actually led to a lot of outrage as fans wanted Chad Gable to win instead.

The Ring General took to Twitter and uploaded a video of his interview from RAW this week. In the caption, Gunther made it clear he doesn’t think Zayn has what it takes to be in his position.

”I do not believe Sami Zayn has what it takes to be in my position, it is unrealistic! Good luck, Sami.”

Gunther is also enjoying all the drama surrounding the gauntlet match as well. It was previously reported that the gauntlet match had undergone multiple changes before the show. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen how Sami Zayn will fare against Gunther in the end.
