Brock Lesnar’s absence from WWE television since the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, where he faced Cody Rhodes, raised questions about his future with the company. Speculation swirled, especially given his alleged connection to Vince McMahon’s trafficking lawsuit. However, recent developments hint at WWE’s efforts to reintegrate him back into the fold.
Originally, there were plans for Brock Lesnar to take part in the Royal Rumble. However, alterations were made to these plans due to his entanglement in the legal matters related to Vince McMahon’s trafficking lawsuit.
In addition to his absence from WWE television, Brock Lesnar faced further setbacks in his relationship with the company. Notably, he was excluded from the latest WWE video game, WWE 2K24, and removed from WWE Creative plans for the foreseeable future. Lesnar’s absence from both the game’s roster announcement and WWE Creative plans indicates a significant shift in his status within the company.
Despite being conspicuously absent from various aspects of WWE for the past couple of months, including WWE video games and creative plans, Brock Lesnar has made a surprising return to the WWE roster page on the company’s website.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, recent developments indicate a potential return for Brock Lesnar to WWE. While Lesnar had been notably absent from various WWE platforms, including video games and creative plans, Alvarez suggests that there have been “moves” made to bring him back.
“In the last few days, there have been moves regarding Brock Lesnar. If you listen to the show last night with Dave [Meltzer], everything we talked about is accurate other than the roster page. There are movements to bring him back.”
However, Alvarez remains uncertain about Lesnar’s actual return and expresses skepticism about the idea. Despite inquiries being made, the outcome remains uncertain, leaving fans to wait and see what unfolds regarding Lesnar’s future with WWE.
“I should add regarding Brock. I’m not saying he’s going to be back. I have no idea if he’s going to be back. I wouldn’t bring him back but I can tell you that there have been inquiries made and what that means, we will wait and see. It seems like a bad idea to me. Put it that way.”
Brock Lesnar was also included in WWE 2K24, albeit not as a fully playable character for all modes. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether Lesnar will return to WWE television as we head towards WrestleMania 40.
