John Cena unexpectedly stole the spotlight at the 2024 Academy Awards, despite not being nominated, with his attention-grabbing ‘nude’ appearance. In light of his stunt at the Oscars, Booker T believes it was a mark of a true wrestler.

While presenting the award for Best Costume Design, John Cena engaged in a playful exchange with Jimmy Kimmel, foregoing the planned ‘streaker bit.’ As Kimmel handed Cena the award envelope, Cena found himself center stage, humorously exposed, with only the envelope preserving his modesty.

In a swift and comical turn of events during the nominee reel, Cena managed a costume change with the help of several individuals, appearing in a toga-shaped cloth to announce the winner of the award before gracefully exiting the stage.

Booker T, speaking on The Hall of Fame with co-host Brad Gilmore, shared his perspective on John Cena’s daring appearance at the Oscars. Booker T stated that he believed it was a mark of a true wrestler.

“That was risky, but it just goes to show you how far we have come and how far John is willing to go to entertain. That’s all. That’s all it is. That’s a wrestler, doing something like that. Wrestlers gonna put themselves out there, good ones, really, really good ones, they’re gonna try to figure out how I can embarrass myself to the utmost to entertain somebody. That’s just the way we do it.”

Nevertheless, fans are hoping John Cena will appear at WrestleMania 40 after he confirmed his status for the event, so we’ll have to see if he will appear at the show somehow.
