Initially, Kenny Omega was scheduled to partner with Chris Jericho in their pursuit of the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Regrettably, he was unable to participate in the competition due to diverticulitis. He is much better now, so it comes as no surprise Omega teased a huge project during his AEW hiatus.
Although Kenny Omega has been sidelined from in-ring competition, the AEW Executive Vice President has maintained an active presence on Twitch. Here, fans can catch him playing video games and receiving updates about his life and health.
Omega recently expressed on Twitter his contemplation of providing match ratings, acknowledging that the concept might not sit well with some fans, as Dave Meltzer’s star ratings are already a major topic of controversy.
”I’ve been enjoying the streams lately but have been thinking about adding a new activity. One that’s sure to unite all wrestling fans and encourage peaceful discussion. I’m thinking of rating wrestling matches.”
Kenny Omega will continue to get haters no matter what, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon. Nevertheless, Omega will likely return to AEW television soon, so it remains to be seen how Omega will be booked upon his return.
