The Rock made his way to Friday Night SmackDown on a mission, which was to utterly dismantle Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. It didn’t go exactly as planned, especially after he cut a promo which had logical flaws in it. In light of his promo, The Rock was called out for his blatant hypocrisy.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown, The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins finally confronted each other for the first time since the WrestleMania 40 kick-off press event in Las Vegas. After weeks of exchanging verbal jabs on WWE programming and social media, the momentous meeting took place.

The sight was captivating as Cody and Seth made their way through the WWE Universe to the ring, where Rock and Roman awaited their arrival. Cody wasted no time getting to the point, but The Rock interrupted him, reminiscing about the stipulations that came with accepting the challenge. Seth Rollins interjected, asserting that The Rock’s prime had passed and he couldn’t lay claim to their time, ultimately accepting the match for WrestleMania Night 1.

The People’s Champion, unfazed, reminded the duo of his authority and launched personal attacks at Cody, labeling him a mistake in reference to his family by mentioning how there’s a 20 year age gap between Rhodes’ siblings. Rhodes, reaching his limit, emulated The Rock by delivering a resounding slap to the biggest star on the planet as SmackDown went off the air.

“You’re 20 years younger than your siblings, because you were a mistake”

Amanda Huber took to Twitter and called out The Rock for being a hypocrite by pointing out the fact that The Rock’s daughters have an age gap of almost 20 years as well.

‘Talking about an age gap when your own daughters are almost 20 years apart is a weird choice….”

”🤷🏻‍♀️”

In the end, Cody Rhodes accepted The Rock’s challenge for him and Seth Rollins to face The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Nevertheless, quite a few fans noticed how The Rock was hypocritical in the promo and that’s not going to change.
