Paul Heyman, a seasoned and prominent figure in the pro wrestling world for decades, boasts a profound understanding of the industry. He is acutely aware that numerous individuals are vying to secure a position in WWE, with many aspiring to assume his role.
Paul Heyman has indeed played a pivotal role in shaping the wrestling industry over the years. His notable tenures as the booker for ECW in the ’90s and later as the SmackDown booker in the early 2000s have garnered widespread acclaim for his innovative and influential contributions to the sport.
As previously reported, Paul Heyman is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. While speaking to Fox News Digital, Paul Heyman made it abundantly clear he is aware that many people are gunning for his position in WWE.
“These are stats no one else can claim. Nobody. Nobody even comes remotely close,” he said. “Every single one of them, there are people sitting there saying, ‘I want that job. I want that position. I’m willing to compete with Paul Heyman for that position,’ and I’m cognizant of it. I’m very much aware of it.“
“I remind myself of that every single day there are very competent and talented people who want that spot. So, I treat every single performance like it’s an audition to be invited back tomorrow. And if people approach their performances like that, it’ll only inspire them and motivate them to rise above even their own limitations.”
It is not hard to see why people are trying to go after Paul Heyman’s spot in WWE, considering just how much influence he has in The Bloodline storyline, among other things.
