John Cena had an extensive WWE run, marking his longest tenure in over six years, bringing joy to fans who appreciated his regular appearances on WWE television. Although this run essentially wrapped up after Crown Jewel last year, it’s worth noting that Cena isn’t done with wrestling just yet. In fact, Cena has now confirmed his status for WrestleMania 40.
At the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia, John Cena faced Solo Sikoa in a match where he was systematically dismantled and brutally attacked by the young Samoan competitor. Following his defeat, Cena hinted at retirement, creating speculation about the possibility of stepping away from professional wrestling.
Ongoing discussions revolve around the potential participation of John Cena at WrestleMania, contingent on his availability amidst his busy acting schedule. If Cena can make it, any involvement would be restricted to activities considered safe for insurance reasons. The goal is to incorporate Cena into something “fun, short, memorable, and with substance” should he decide to make an appearance at the event.
While speaking on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, John Cena was asked about possibly wrestling The Rock at WrestleMania 40. While he didn’t necessarily answer that, The Leader of Cenation confirmed that he is free on April 6th, which is Night One of WrestleMania 40.
”It’s April 6th, I know exactly where it is. I mean, I’m free that day. I’m just telling you guys that.”
There’s speculation that John Cena could make an appearance at WrestleMania to energize the WWE Universe, akin to his impactful return at Money in the Bank 2023. With Cena being free on April 6th, it is all but confirmed The Leader of Cenation will make an appearance at the event.
