The WWE Universe in the Capitol Wrestling Center witnessed one of the most epic sights in the history of the developmental brand, as a legendary father came face-to-face with each other.
Last week on NXT, Noam Dar was slated for his NXT Heritage Cup championship by one of the members of the No Quarter Catch. Ultimately, it was the rising star Charlie Dempsey who stepped up to the challenge.
The match was an exciting sight to witness, however, the numbers game proved too much for Dar as a timely distraction by the No Quarter Catch faction members who assisted Dempsey in claiming the NXT Heritage Cup championship.
The entire clan, flanked by the new champion addressed Charlie’s spectacular win on tonight’s edition of WWE NXT Roadblock. However, their address was interrupted by the return of WWE Legend and Charlie’s own father, William Regal.
As the former NXT General Manager stepped inside the ring, the crowd heavily chanted ‘That’s your daddy’ towards Charlie Dempsey. Regal went on to congratulate his son on the win while also mentioning the importance of the Heritage Cup to him.
However, the arrogant Charlie Dempsey chose to berate his father by stating that he would prove to be a much better champion than Regal ever was, concluding the segment in a not-so-pleasant manner.
