Tony Khan has been known to attract some of the most talented wrestling stars to his global upstart company in the business, AEW, while also building important strategic partnerships in the process.

Most recently, AEW partnered up with the top Mexican promotion, CMLL in recent memory. Moreover, this alliance has seen multiple luchadors from the company appear on AEW programming, namely Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision.

Tony Khan confirmed on the AEW Revolution post-show media scrum that even female stars from the promotion are also eligible to appear for their shows as part of the collaboration between AEW and CMLL.

The AEW President also stated that in the light of this partnership, he would be delighted to see CMLL female star, Stephanie Vaquer wrestle in his promotion.

“Yes and yes. Absolutely it would and it can. I would love to have Stephanie here and I have already talked to Salvador about that and I’m excited about it. She is somebody I’ve asked Salvador about and would love to have here. We’re also very happy with that relationship. CMLL has been great partners and we love working with them. We’d love to have Stephanie here.”

The 29-year-old star is the current holder of the CMLL Women’s Tag Team Championship with her partner, Zeuxis, while also reigning as the company’s Women’s champion too. With so many accolades already to her name, it would be interesting to watch her go after some AEW gold once she makes her All-Elite debut in the future.
