Since his significant comeback at Survivor Series 2023, R-Truth has engaged in some of the most comical antics ever witnessed in the wrestling industry. This includes him mistaking Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa as members of D-Generation X. In light of his antics, Gargano has now reacted to rumors that he is Shawn Michaels.

Johnny Gargano has found himself in a case of mistaken identity, with R-Truth believing him to be Shawn Michaels. The confusion led to #DIY (Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) saving R-Truth from a beatdown on the February 12 episode of WWE RAW, prompting Truth to express his gratitude to DX.

Amidst R-Truth’s belief that he’s been saved by D-Generation X, Johnny Gargano has taken to Twitter to clear up the confusion. In a recent update to his Twitter bio, Gargano humorously emphasized his identity with the addition, “Not Shawn Michaels.”

As of the latest update, Tommaso Ciampa’s Twitter bio continues to read “Tommaso Ciampa.” The mistaken identity storyline took an amusing turn when R-Truth encountered the real Shawn Michaels, only to mistake him for Johnny Gargano, adding to the comedic twist.

Additionally, on the Road to WrestleMania WWE Live shows, #DIY (Gargano & Ciampa) and The Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) have been pitted against Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh). It remains to be seen how long WWE will continue R-Truth’s current alignment with Ciampa and Gargano, as fans are certainly enjoying it so far.
