Warner Bros Discovery has served as the proud home of AEW, airing popular shows like Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. The exclusive deal between AEW and Warner Bros Discovery even resulted in the discontinuation of AEW Dark on YouTube.
While speaking during the post-AEW Revolution media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about the status AEW’s deal with Warner Bros discovery as the contractual year is coming up.
”We’re still in this exclusive phase with Warner Bros Discovery, which has been amazing for AEW. Very excited about the rest of 2024. I think 2024 will rise to the occasion. Warner Bros Discovery and AEW have built a very close relationship and the current management group came in and have embraced AEW even more than ever before, we were already on such great footing. This past year we’ve gone 3 hours of TV and we’ve added more pay-per-view events and we’re excited to add Dynasty.”
”I would say it’s a great time for us with Warner Bros Discovery and conversations have gone really well and I’m very happy to be here with Warner Bros Discovery and we’re still in that exclusive phase ever of AEW history.”
We have already reported that AEW could possibly be nearing an agreement with Warner Bros Discovery for the media rights deal. As talks advance, the timing of AEW and Warner Bros Discovery’s agreement remains uncertain. Nonetheless, clinching a deal with Warner Bros Discovery would be a noteworthy milestone for Tony Khan’s company.
