It’s Friday night, and you know what that means! The post-WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth episode of SmackDown will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the March 1, 2024 episode.

The show opens up with a video package recapping what took place at last weekend’s WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth Premium Live Event.
Corey Graves then welcomes us to the show and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns’ music hits. Reigns makes his way down to the ring with Solo Sikoa, special counsel “The Wiseman” Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso.
Reigns starts off by telling Glendale, Arizona to acknowledge him and the audience does so. Reigns then tells the audience that they are supposed to be louder and they boo him. Reigns then says that maybe they are in the wrong place. Reigns then tells Phoenix, Arizona to acknowledge him and the audience boos and chants for Cody Rhodes. Reigns then tells the audience if they don’t get on the same page, he has fulfilled his obligation and will leave if they don’t get this right. Reigns then screams for Glendale, Arizona to acknowledge him and the audience boos him even louder.
Reigns then says that’s it and that they are done. Reigns then turns to Heyman and tells him to fuel the jet because they are leaving. Heyman then tells Reigns that they can’t leave yet because “he” still has to come out to handle some business. Reigns then scoffs and leans on the ropes. Heyman then gives The Rock a massive introduction noting all of his accomplishments.
The Rock’s music hits and the rest of The Bloodline looks annoyed while they are waiting for The People’s Champion to make his way down to the ring wearing his classic $500 shirt.
The Rock starts off by asking the fans if they want to boo him. The Rock then says he’s got some news that some of them will be happy about. The Rock then asks if there were any people from Phoenix here tonight and the fans cheers. The Rock then says this makes sense as the number one city for cocaine and meth use is Phoenix, Arizona. The Rock then says “Finally, their lives have meaning because these cactus-loving crackheads finally have something worth shooting into their veins.” The Rock also says they are all in a good mood and professional wrestling is exciting and electrifying again for the first time in decades. The Rock also says that is the reason why they are sold out everywhere, including this crack den with popcorn they are in.
The Rock then says Cody Rhodes isn’t cool and Rhodes has the nerves to challenge him. The Rock then says he has an answer for Rhodes’ challenge and his answer is no. The Rock also says Rhodes doesn’t get to go one-on-one with The Rock just because he wants to. The Rock then calls Rhodes a fool for challenging him when he has to face the most dominant champion ever Roman Reigns. The Bloodline then laughs at Rhodes’ challenge, but they are business men and they have a counteroffer. The Rock then challenges Rhodes and Seth “Freakin” Rollins to a tag team match on night one of WrestleMania and if Rhodes and Rollins win on night one, then The Bloodline will be barred from ringside on night two of WrestleMania.
The Rock then says If he and Roman Reigns wins, then the match between Rhodes and Reigns on night two of WrestleMania will be Bloodline Rules. The Rock then says Rhodes has to show up on SmackDown next week to accept and if Rhodes doesn’t agree to this, there isn’t a man backstage who can stop The Rock from making sure Rhodes loses at WrestleMania. The Rock then tries to do his if you smell gimmick, but Reigns puts his hand on the mic and stops The Rock.
The Rock then stares daggers through Reigns and Heyman hands Reigns a mic. Reigns then says he needs something from The Rock. Reigns then says he will do anything for his family, but he needs one thing from The Rock. Reigns looks at The Rock in his eyes and tells The People’s Champion to acknowledge him and a holy sh*t chant breaks out. The Rock then takes off his shades and acknowledges Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns and The Rock then shake hands and the fans breaks out into a “you sold out” chant.
The Rock then says they were family and everyone should go home and smoke more crack before starting his “If you smell …” line. The Rock then hands the microphone to Roman, who said, “What the Bloodline is cooking.” to end the segment.
We then see Austin Theory and Grayson Waller talking backstage and LA Knight shows up to ask them where AJ Styles was. Knight leaves and Randy Orton appears in the background. Waller and Theory were watching a video of Logan Paul using the brass knuckles on Orton. Orton then mocks Waller and Theory for thinking it was funny. Orton then challenged either Waller or Theory for a match later tonight. Waller then says Theory would do it and Theory wasn’t particularly happy about it.
We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Stratton hitting Naomi with a shoulder block. Stratton then does a cartwheel to avoid a dropdown. Naomi then nails Stratton with a spinning splash. Naomi then does a standing cartwheel to mock Stratton and Stratton falls into the corner. Naomi then hits a delayed dropkick on Stratton and Stratton kicks out. Naomi then hits Stratton with a Slingshot X-factor. Stratton then kicks out and rolls out of the ring.
Stratton then hits a double stomp on Naomi for a two-count. Naomi fights back and knocks Stratton down for a two-count. Both women then exchange strikes until Stratton hits a spine buster on Naomi for a two-count. Stratton then rakes the eyes of Naomi as the referee is looking the other way. Stratton then hits her Prettiest Moonsault Ever finisher on Naomi for the win.

A video package recalling the Damage CTRL storyline then airs.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.
The match starts off with Asuka and Sane attacking Bayley after Kai and Bayley made their way down to the ring all fired up. Bayley goes to the top early, but Sane hits Bayley from behind, sending Bayley down to the mat. Bayley then tries to fight back, but Asuka throws Bayley into Kai and that sent Kai to the ground on the outside of the ring. Bayley then tries to fire up as the crowd is behind her. Sane is then tagged and does a couple of tag team moves on Bayley. Asuka is then tagged back in, but Bayley runs The Kabuki Warriors into each other. Bayley then cleans house and Kai returns to the apron, but as Bayley tries to tag Kai into the match, she jumps off from the apron.
Bayley was then left alone against the Kabuki Warriors and Bayley takes them down before attacking Kai on the outside. Asuka and Sane then rescues Kai and rolls Bayley back into the ring. The crowd then chants “Bayley!” IYO SKY then enters the ring and hits a running knee to the back of Bayley. Damage CTRL then taunts Bayley and toys with her as the match ended in a no contest.
We then head backstage, where we see Damage CTRL celebrate what just happened at ringside. They run into Jade Cargill and Cargill stares down SKY. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis then finds Cargill and says he is ready for her, telling Damage CTRL that he will deal with them later.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.
The match starts off with Breakker hitting Quinn with a devastating spear and scores the win.

A vignette then airs showing the storyline between Carlito and Santos Escobar.
A graphic in memory of Virgil was then shown and we get the entrances of the next match, which is a Street Fight.
The match starts off with a brawl between both men. Action then spilled to the outside and Carlito sent Escobar into the ring steps. The crowd then chanted “We want tables” and Carlito immediately went under the ring and pulled out a table. Escobar then took advantage of that and tried to attack Carlito, but Carlito fought back and went back under the ring to grab a Kendo Stick. Carlito then found an apple and the crowd was cheering until Escobar jumped over the top rope to take Carlito out.
Escobar then hits Carlito with a knee, but only gets a two-count. Escobar then goes for a splash on Carlito, but Carlito hits Escobar with a steel chair on his head. Carlito then hits Escobar with several clotheslines before hitting Escobar with the trash can. Carlito then places the trash can on Escobar’s head and hits the trash can with a chair repeatedly. Carlito then hits Escobar with a reverse Crossroads onto the chair and gets a two-count. Carlito then sends a table into the ring, but Escobar cuts Carlito off with a knee. Both men then goes o the top, but Carlito crotched Escobar on the top rope.
Angel and Humberto then shows up and beats Carlito down. Legado Del Fantasma then hits their triple-team powerbomb, but Escobar only gets a two-count. The LWO then made their way down to the ring and fought Humberto and Angel off until Humberto and Angel dispatched of them. Rey Mysterio’s music hit and the WWE Hall of Famer makes his way out with crutches. Escobar laughs at Mysterio and Legado Del Fantasma walks towards Mysterio, but it turns out Mysterio wasn’t injured anymore and Mysterio hits Angel and Humberto with the crutch. Mysterio then jumps on the apron and into the ring. Carlito then spits an apple on Escobar and hits a backstabber. Mysterio then follows that up with a 619. Carlito then puts Escobar through the table and scores the win.

We then head backstage, where we see the New Catch Republic ask SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis for another shot at Judgment Day’s Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania. Aldis tells them that he and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce have a related announcement coming up, but he gets distracted by some noise. Aldis then finds LA Knight looking for AJ Styles. Aldis tells Knight that Styles is not in the building tonight and Knight warns Aldis that he will get to Styles one way or another to give him a souvenir.
Kevin Owens’ music then hits and Owens makes his way down to the ring to do commentary for the main event.
We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Singles Match between “The Viper” Randy Orton vs. Austin Theory.
The match starts off with Randy Orton wasting no time in working over Theory. Orton then knocks Theory out of the ring and beats Theory down in front of the commentary desk. Orton then sets up Theory for his patented commentary desk suplex, but Waller pulls Theory away. Orton then gets in Waller’s face and Theory pushes Orton into the ring post. Theory then suplexes Orton on the desk. Orton then sets up a superplex, but Theory tries to counter that into a blockbuster. Orton then counters Theory and hits him with a neck breaker.
Orton then hits a number of clotheslines on Theory and follows that up with a powerslam. Theory then gets to his feet, but Orton clotheslines him over the top rope. Orton then suplexes Theory on the commentary desk. Waller then gets in Orton’s face and Orton suplexes Waller on the desk. Orton then hits his patented draping DDT on Theory. Orton then calls for the RKO, but Theory pushes Orton away and hits a running blockbuster on Orton. Theory then sets up his A-Town Down finisher, but Orton escapes. Theory then elbows Orton in the head and Orton kicks out. Theory then tries to hit Orton with his draping DDT, but Orton escapes. Theory then stuns Orton on the top rope and attempts another rolling blockbuster. Orton then counters Theory and hits him with an RKO for the 1-2-3.

After the match, Waller attacks Orton, but Owens saves Orton to stop the attack. Theory and Waller then turns their attention to Owens, but Owens hits a Stunner on Theory and Orton hits an RKO on Waller and the babyfaces stand tall as the show comes to a close.
